NC-1 Triad Trikers
North Carolina kicks
off its first TRI Chapter. On Saturday, January 16th,
2010, NC-1 held its first gathering at Boomer’z Restaurant
located above our sponsor; Smokin’ HD in Winston-Salem, NC. 27
members, 3 new sign ups, and 5 staff members of the local HOG
Chapter joined us for lunch and a brief meeting of introductions
and information. Chapter Directors, ‘Big Ed’ & Jan (Grissim-)
Staib presented the Assistant Directors, Jim and Sue Brock and
the Treasurers, Lisa & Joe Brown with their welcoming letters
and patches. Welcomes and goals were mentioned along with info
on the TRI Rally in August, 2010.
Although there were a large number of trikes in
front of the building, only 6 decided to join in the Chapter’s
first adventure; an ice cream ride into VA. Yes Elizabeth, we
went for ice cream in January. No, we’re not crazy, we just like
ice cream. After eating our desserts and enjoying the fellowship
of our new group, members started peeling away and heading for
home as the temperature started to dip. We are looking forward
to many more enjoyable rides and activities as we continues to
grow. The TRIAD TRIKERS are on the road. |
